Every day, individuals and families are struggling to meet their basic nutritional needs. We rely on an army of committed supporters, volunteers, and generous individuals, groups, foundations and businesses to help us do our work. We could not do it without you.
Your monetary donations go to work immediately, providing us with the funds necessary to purchase nutritious food and fresh produce for clients.
We rely on monetary donations to purchase food, including kosher and gluten-free items from wholesalers, distributors and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (where we are a member and able to purchase food at a significant discount). Your gift can bring immediate relief to those who are struggling with food insecurity and hunger. Make a donation today by clicking the link below or contact us to learn about other donation options, including stock, bequests, in-kind or endowment gifts.

Donations of non-perishable food and personal products aid the Pantry in every day operations and help provide supplemental options for clients.
Whether you bring a bag of groceries to the Food Pantry, organize a food drive at your workplace or house of worship or ask your friends to make donations in lieu of birthday or special occasion gifts, your donation is put to use immediately to help those who are hungry in our community. We accept donations during regular Pantry hours.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry. By generously giving your time, talent and energy, you can make a significant impact on our clients’ lives. Join our passionate, caring team of more than 1,600 volunteers.
Whether you’re an individual or represent a group, whether you have one day a week or one day a year, we can find the right opportunity to match your time and interests. Volunteers weigh, sort and pack donations; stock shelves; pick up donations; deliver groceries to homebound clients; unload monthly deliveries from the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank; assist clients who are shopping with food selection, packing and check-out; and help with applications for assistance programs.
