Our Benefits

A full-time employee (working 37.5 hours per week) is entitled to $575 (single) or $830 (family) towards Medical Insurance coverage per month. An employee electing not to participate in health insurance receives a stipend of $250 per month. JFCS offers: UPMC Medical, Guardian Dental, and Vision Benefits of America. Employees are eligible to participate the first day of the month following one (1) month after employment.

JFCS provides Life, Accidental Death, and Dismemberment Insurance to all employees working at least 30 hours (80% FTE) per week. Employees are eligible for coverage after completing three (3) months of service.

Long-Term Disability is provided for all employees working at least 30 hours (80% FTE) per week. Employees are eligible for coverage after completing three (3) months of service.

Short-Term Disability is provided for all employees working at least 30 hours (80% FTE) per week. Employees are eligible for coverage after completing three (3) years of service.

JFCS provides a Pension Plan for all employees. Employees will be included in the plan at the end of the first year of employment.. The waiting period of one (1) year may be waived if an employee has worked in the non-profit health or social service field within the three (3) prior years vesting schedule (see plan documentation). Current Agency contribution is 4% annually. Rollovers are permitted.

JFCS provides all employees with the option of having their pay directly deposited into a checking and/or savings account.

JFCS provides an Employee Assistance Program through LifeSolutions to help deal with difficult situations. This program is available to all employees and their families.
