Pantry staff are gearing up for our March Passover distribution! This year’s Passover distribution includes all the essentials for a traditional Passover meal including matzo meal, gefilte fish, coconut macaroons, and fresh produce. In each Passover bag, we will also be distributing information about fire safety. Throughout March, we will also be distributing information on customer assistance programs through the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority and facts about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Recently, JFCS President & CEO Dr. Jordan Golin interviewed JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry Director Matthew Bolton about the Passover distribution. They also talked about how COVID-19 has impacted the Squirrel Hill neighborhood and Jewish communities. This year, many are facing food insecurity when they never had before.
