Introducing Ann Kirwan, Chief Development Officer

JFCS is excited to announce that it has named Ann Kirwan as its first Chief Development Officer. Ann brings extensive experience in the areas of nonprofit leadership and strategy, as well as grant writing and development. “We are excited to have Ann Kirwan join JFCS as our first-ever Chief Development Officer. The unprecedented growth that JFCS has experienced these past few years is allowing us to serve more clients in more ways than ever, and Ann is ideal for helping us manage this growth in a financially responsible and sustainable manner,” says JFCS President & CEO Dr. Jordan Golin.


Fall 2024 Job Fair

JFCS Career Services and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (Oakland) are hosting the annual Fall Job Fair on October 11 from 11 am – 2 pm! Participants will have the opportunity to speak with more than 20 hiring representatives from a wide variety of industries, along with community resource organizations providing information about opportunities and available services. Dress for Success Pittsburgh will be on site providing suiting services to women seeking professional clothing.


Ongoing support persists amid the war in the Middle East and post-10/27 struggles

As the war in the Middle East continues and as we approach six years since the tragedy at Tree of Life, many people are still feeling the stress, anxiety, and effects of the war and that day. JFCS Refugee & Immigrant Services is Making a Difference

For the past 18 months, our dedicated Refugee & Immigrant staff have been traveling weekly to Charleroi. During this time, they’ve provided essential support to over 300 Haitians, helping with job placements, finding homes, accessing healthcare, and meeting other fundamental needs.


OCD Awareness Month

We sat down with Rachel, a Psychotherapist in the Counseling Department, we gained insights into Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She detailed the disorder’s nature, typical behaviors, and symptoms. Click the button below to learn more.


JFCS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every year from September 15 to October 15 to recognize the history and culture along with the achievements and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
