JFCS & SHIM partnered with UPMC to deliver over 100 vaccines to the South Hills community on Saturday, April 24!
Many individuals were from the Bhutanese refugee community. Program Coordinator Yesmina Salib stands with two Nepali interpreters during the clinic.
Also pictured below is Edizo, a Congolese refugee resettled by JFCS who came for his first vaccine. He attended a Town Hall for Swahili Speakers and was able to have his questions about the vaccine answered by UPMC doctors. After the Town Hall, he felt confident in the safety of the vaccine and signed up for Saturday’s clinic.
