Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated every year from September 15 to October 15 to recognize the history and culture along with the achievements and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Latinos and Latinas continue to shape our country in many ways, including being business owners, activists, artists, public servants, military members, and more. It’s important to recognize the contributions of the Latino community to ensure they have a voice in our society.
JFCS is showcasing the Hispanic and Latinx culture by displaying pieces of art, history, books, and anything that holds significance to our employees’ family and culture. See a few of the items given to us to display below.
Shown below is a collection of Latin American Stories from the collection of Nicholas P. a Paralegal and Legal Administrative Assistant at JFCS Immigrant Legal Services.
Featured Books:
The Autumn of the Patriarch, El Otoño del Patriarca By: Gabriel Garcia Marquez
