Everyone loves a hearty applesauce when brisk sweater weather arrives and leaves are changing color. Homemade applesauce is so much tastier than store-bought, and so easy to make in your slow cooker. Enjoy this healthy applesauce recipe with only three ingredients.

Applesauce
Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 3-7 hrs
Ingredients:
- 6 apples cored and sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
Optional additions: lemon juice, nutmeg, vanilla extract, sugar, salt
Instructions:
- Put all ingredients into the slow cooker.
- Let cook for 3-4 hours on high or 6-7 hours on low. Stir and mash occasionally.
- When it’s done, blend for a smoother texture if desired.
Notes
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks, or two months in the freezer!
- Any type of apples can be used– see which ones you like the best!
